NYC Field Trip

On Friday 9th, I got to go to a field trip to New York City with people from school! We left from school early in the morning. The drive from Lititz to NYC took around three hours, which is not bad at all. The journey went really quickly by sleeping and playing trivial on the bus. I have always been wondering how all the tour buses and other cars go to Manhattan. Well the answer is easy, they go through the Lincoln tunnel. We had a little competition where everybody guessed the time when the bus would arrive to the end of the tunnel, Manhattan. I randomly picked number 24 (Sami Kapanen :D), and then later on our tour guide announced that the exact time was 9.24am! So I won a little NYC coin purse :)

Our day started at ten o'clock at Madame Tussauds vax museum. I had never been there before but I had heard a lot of positive reviews from it. So I was really looking forward to it.

Creepy selfie with John F. Kennedy... Doesn't it look like he is watching straight to my camera?

"Omg I just touched Wayne Gretzky!"

The vax museum was really interesting! There were a lot of well-done figures but some of them were not so. It took almost an hour to go through it. Luckily for us, there were not so many people since we went there on Friday morning.

The weather was really gloomy but it didn't keep us from visiting the Times Square, where we had a lunch break. A group of people from Fox News asked from some of us, if we would like to be interviewed, and answer to questions about the government. So one girl from our group did it and she answered very badly on purpose :D

After the lunch break we jumped onto the bus again, and drove to St. John's Cathedral. They gave us a little tour in there, which was a nice way to get to know a little details of the cathedral. Most of the time my friends and I were wondering, how cool it would be to have a full choir there, and hear them singing! I bet it would sound amazing.

From the cathedral we continued to the Fifth Avenue, and The Museum of Modern Art. We were already kind of running late in our schedule, so we only got like an hour to go around the MoMa. Our plan was just wonder around, and to see all of the most famous art works.

Around 6pm we started to head back to Lancaster, and on the way home we stopped for dinner. I'm so  happy that I got to go to the NYC again, and actually visit some places this time!
